Welcome to my page! My name is Whitney (PunkyBabe) and I’m 28 years old.
This page is sharing my experiences and what’s going on in my life, and what I hope to accomplish in a career in costume design.
Let me tell you a little about me; I was born on January 28th 1992 in Dallas, TX. In November of 2010 when I was 18 I had just graduated high school and just started college, I was studying to be a dancer and actress. I had gotten really sick and developed flu-like symptoms, that ended up being diagnosed as sepsis, a bacterial infection of the blood. I was put on life support given a twelve percent chance of survival, but I pulled through. When I woke up, I saw that my hands were black, greenish and my feet were too, Blood was not flowing into my extremities. what happened was that my arms and legs died The doctors said In order to survive, that they would have to amputate my arms and legs. After months in the hospital, I had to have long strenuous rehab to relearn the things I had taken for granted like; brushing my teeth, dressing myself, eating, going to the restroom, normally things that you don’t think twice about were now extremely difficult. I am currently re-learning to walk in my prosthesis, to get back on my feet and regain some of my independence again. Losing all of my limbs hasn’t stopped me from living my life and pursuing my dreams.
I love Fashion and making clothes!!! I hope to become a costume designer to create clothing for film and TV one day!!!!
